I get wanting to join and defend yourself. As an AP resident, I'm glad you were able to clear your name and get the truth out there.

But, this isn't going to go well for you. You'll just get drawn into a never-ending thread of back and forth insults/accusations etc..

Good to see one of these end with “innocent” for once. All the usual negativity makes it hard to trust anyone these days. I just assume that every contractor is out to screw me over and his people will steal my stuff. TD has made me cynical.

I never got on this site before and probably will not return after today. My life is consumed with work, family, church and restoring my life. While I understand what you are saying, my only avenue here is to spread my innocence now that i am able to. If people still want to attack me that is there problem, not mine.

Eh, I doubt that was his motive. More than likely it was to be the first with "new" or "more recent update". This place is unique. But it's not ALWAYS as bad as you are generalizing or assuming, which is ironic by the way, that you are declaring about this site the very thing you are mad at.

This place most definitely has its fare share of a-hole posters, basic miserable human beings, sure. But it also has some of the most kind and generous people you will ever come across. It has a person who travelled out of state to help a person whose motorcycle was stolen. It has a person who found someone's stolen trailer from an LSU tailgate, the same night mind you! It's found a stolen boat, paid someone's rent that was down on their luck. One person got in a bad wreck on Burbank and his dog ran off, likely in very bad shape. Another poster who lived nearby left his home, at night, went down Burbank with a flashlight and found that dude's dog (sadly it was dead) and brought it the guy's house so he could properly bury it. Basically this place is a microcosm of society.

So ease up a bit. I get why you are upset, I really do. But most people in this thread prior to you coming in were just guessing, assuming, etc. based on the article and the stigma of contractors. Your ire should be more aimed at the advocate, they posted the article, not the OP. He just put it on a message board to be discussed like many other topics on here, because it is a local story.

Glad you are innocent. Glad you have a great family and you seem like a good person. Hopefully the advocate retracts their story or posts a follow up, but sadly we know that probably won't happen. At any rate, welcome to the OT.

Thanks for the message. One thing I am not afraid to do is admit I'm wrong. You are correct as I'm sure like most things this site has its good and always some negative fool has to try an ruin it. I am not familiar with this site but it was brought to my attention by family members that this post was started when all this first happened. I just wish sites like this would stick to its purpose and delete all the negative "fake news" that can shed darkness on the positive.

I commend the admins of this page that have tried to create something positive for the LSU community. I am certainly a Tiger Fan just trying to now spread the good news of innocence. However I am quickly realizing that even though 100% innocent, people still want to drag you down to make themselves feel better............
