You guys better not say mean words. I’ll sue you for $1.85 Million.

You think tmobile already gave them an IP? How did they narrow it down to his phone. Then, they already sent a warrant to Twitter to match that IP with that post?
Ok we were talking two different things. I was misunderstanding you essentially. I thought you were saying that the cops wouldn't be able to find out the IP if he had WiFi on.
I assume you are saying the only way wwl investigator was able to identify it was Seth was he used the wwl wifi to post the tweet.
If that is the case then it wouldn't have been the IP that identified him though. All traffic on that wifi would have the same IP. Could be the article is written wrong and more than likely the case.
Now that I am thinking hard about it, I dunno how wwl would have found a true IP. Twitter wouldn't turn it over I don't think and they didn't have a court order. So you are prolly right. Wasn't the IP though, simply able to match the device that sent that data package at that time over their WiFi.
What a fricking idiot though to use their WiFi to send that. More than likely was hooked to it using his sign in for the network. What an idiot.

It shouldn’t involve law enforcement.
So if he really sent the tweet himself, you think he should just be allowed to get away with trying to extort his former employer for almost $2 million?

Yeah obviously if he used their wifi there are more options depending on the firewall. If they have content monitoring turned on it doesn't take a "foresnic" expert to read a report that says it resolves his phone host name to a website. "Seth's Iphone"
Just interesting they are going to the telco after claiming to have wrapped this up.

They haven't claimed that.
They went to the police once their digital forensics determined it was his phone. The police have to do their own investigation.

T-Bob said he was no longer talking about. He was going to believe Seth no matter what.
I know he said that on Twitter.
But, have they just completely run from the story on their show? They were pushing the story originally when he was going after Brees.

So if he didn't log in on the company wifi, then he logged in through his cell provider. He claimed he doesn't have access to the company twitter, so it means that even with a successful logon, he triggered an alert.
For example, whenever I get a new device an alert is sent to my registered email asking me if I accessed my account from "device X", on an IP located "at Y". Since by his own admission this would have been his first logon attempt, the webmaster could get an alert of the exact deets from a successful login, as to specific time, specific device, specific IP in corresponding timeframe to that tweet.
However, the popo still has to have their own conclusive data to determine guilt. So a subpoena would ask if "device X" is registered to "person A" through his telco acct? And did "device X" show activity at a specific time, while accessing a specific IP location?
If telco matches the registered device to him, as well as activity on the already identified IP to him, during the matching date stamp provided by the webmaster … Game, set, match. Extortion charges incoming.

Anyone heard an update on this story? It’s quietly dropped off the radar, and I’m not happy about that. I want to know how this story ends.

So happy that hes going down

So this dude used a burner phone to Jussie Smotlet himself then gets caught and refuses to admit guilt? I really don’t know but did Smotlett ever finally admit to Chicago PD that he orchestrated the great Chicago lynching of 2019?

I had to read it a few times to make sure it was saying will wade.

Was talking to my dad about this thing today and that it had conspicuously fallen off the radar.
