Yeah, I almost hit you with a big fat WTF there...it looked like you thought Hitler said that quote.

I have no idea how I subbed Hitler there...kinda like slipping and calling her by your ex's name.
Fixed.

As advanced as it was vs. The ME-109, I can't fly it worth shite in a sim (IL-2)

Yet I'm Lord of the Planes in my 109...as long as I don't have any MK - 108s weighing me down.

P-47 until the P-51 comes out. Coming home alive is a big deal to me.

P-47

I finally got to see one up close at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. It’s a huge airplane, especially when compared to a Mustang. I can understand why her pilots loved her.

I’m definitely going with the F-14 A Tomcat, though their appearance during WWII was brief.

I did not read through all of this and I am sorry if this is redundant, but I think the Mustang was pretty much the best plane in the skies at the end of WW II.

Not even close.....P-51. Although I did meet a 94 year old former WWII Navy pilot who flew (and raved) about Gruman Hellcats.

A few of some old replicas from Lackland AFB. We were there for my sons graduation.
