False. Apollo 8 in 1968 did it first.

This is the first time the far side of the moon will be illuminated on a pass behind the moon. They passed behind the moon in darkness in the Apollo program.

Environmentalists caused this when disallowed the use of asbestos. I have no issue with removing it from our everyday lives but the best material should be used for this.

This.

The Apollo missions were all timed so that the side facing earth was illuminated to the lander would have light. Not an issue on this mission.

Why did they need a new 24 million dollar design when the toilet design in use was working?

That has to create a certain level of anxiety

I bet it's a very odd feeling. Both terrifying and lonely, yet also completely badass and awesome. Lots of emotions involved in that 40 minute trip, I'd imagine.

I’ll probably get roasted for this, but does anyone else think Dark Side Of The Moon is totally overrated? Cool name for an album but I don’t like the music.

They played something gay.

But they followed it with a message from Jim Lovell from beyond the grave to make up for it.

If there are parts of the moon that can’t see the earth why are there not parts of the earth that can’t see the moon?

The moon is tidal locked. It orbits the earth in the same amount of time it rotates so the same side is always facing earth.

The earth rotates once every 24 hours.

Just enough time to apply 10 cans of hairspray on the female.

Wonder if they’ll release the photos of the alien base/structure on the other side of the moon.

I have a stupid question. Why can’t they just set it up to bounce communication off of something else?

Do they really not have an angle at anything?

Seems like you could put something out there to keep contact.

I’m sure that question makes me sound like an idiot and everything else up there in orbit is too low to use.

2 minutes to cue up the album, set up the bong, and take 4 huge hits.

This is blatantly false. Bruce Willis and co. did this 28 years ago.
