Hey dumb arse, why should I believe something just because it's in the bible? What makes the bible objective truth and not just a book of superstition?

I get how that makes me look, but when people use the miracles that jesus performed as part of an argument, as if their religion is stone cold fact and not just faith, it really irks me.

If someone says, "I have faith that Jesus performed miracles" I will be the last person to mock their faith. It's when someone is so hard headed that they can't even comprehend that some people dont believe in the same superstitions as them, thats when I can't help but voice my opinion.

TIL dagrippa cannot make a decent analogy. If the guy really thought he was in danger, he would have stepped back. He did it for show.

That’s your problem, not theirs. You choose to be intolerant and insufferable and that’s going to make you look like a total arse. It’s a message board and people are going to unapologetically make expressions of faith. Adults understand that and get over it. Especially in a thread of predominantly Christians Calling out another Christian for his idiocy. Don’t be that guy.

Did you not see the person I was originally responding to? He was being a complete arse and using the bible to justify it.

And when I asked how he knows how anything he said is true, he said "it's in the bible"

The bible is truth because the bible says so? What kind of circular logic is that? Im going to call out that bullshite every time

Oh it was el gaucho. frick me

This must be the biggest moral dilemma for southerners. On one hand they worship the police force, on the other hand they think church pastors are every thing BUT slimy money hoarding manipulators.

I’m a Christian who acknowledges that there are some really terrible people who claim to be men of God.

LEO’s are generally ok people, but they’re still people and some of them are horribly flawed ones.

It’s as if people don’t always fit perfectly and neatly in your silly little yanky box.

They can arrest and beat him for all I care.
And it doesn’t have much to do with his actions with the virus.

Correct. You don't drive at someone to harm them.
I just don't think protester is a victim, and I also don't think that this was aggravated assault. It wasn't Austin Powers slow but assuming in reverse it's making the warning sound and at its reverse speed from what seemed like a stop to then begin turn in video, so maybe reckless driving not aggravated assault. Also possibly some form of harassment or obstructing public passage for the other (or both) if other person constantly just parking car there and getting out to harass & intimidate people turning into entrance by holding signs they may die if they enter (or stalking if anything happened as described by pastor or even citing for ignoring stay at home order himself). I don't know area or parking laws or permit requirements, but vehicle is not stalled or having a road side emergency while protesting since Easter if not longer.

That 2nd video they have an arrest warrant for looked more like someone making an early turn and jerking steering wheel left when seeing person holding sign right there (in front of this same person's parked vehicle obstructing person being easily seen). Almost went back into lane before turning again into entrance.

I don't know anything about church outside of what gets posted here and don't know anyone who goes there. I am not defending pastor as a pastor or as a person just think charge is overkill and about something else that they think would be too political to charge him on and have possibly ignored certain actions by this person holding you may die signs at entrance and helped inflame the situation.

How about we just agree to agree that the pastor is a total douche canoe and call it a day? In that, I think we are in total agreement.

There is precedent in the courts protecting the driver of a vehicle when a protester was struck due to trying to use their body to block someone.
