Arrest and Book Central Pastor on Friday, then set bail on Monday!

EBR sheriff's deputies should just go ahead and arrest the pastor, but wait until Friday. An arrest on Friday would allow him to be legally held over the weekend, at EBR detention center, and then have him appear before a judge on Monday for bail-setting hearing.
He can then conduct Sunday services behind bars this upcoming Sunday.

Make him a martyr. That’ll teach him!

Don't y'all have to have a bond hearing within 48 hours?

But I thought it was mean to have people in jail during this scary virus?

If he's arrested on a Friday evening then the next session would be on Monday when court begins for the week. I'm not an attorney, I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

For disobeying an unconstitutional executive dictate

One must appear before a neutral magistrate within 72 hours of arrest.

Let them keep meeting, when they get Corona, tell them to get God and their pastor to heal them!

The biggest crime here is the over sized, double breasted suits that clown wears.

Show him that he's not above the law. That continuing to place the entire community at risk, is not going to to be tolerated.

Pretty damned sure the 1st Amendment doesn't give one the right to spread disease. Might want to check the case law on that...

I'd argue they aren't peaceably assembling due to the imminent health risk those people are creating for their surrounding communities

What law? Did he or is he breaking a law?

On Tuesday, March 31, Chief Roger Corcoran with Central Police Department issued Mark Anthony Spell, (Aka: Tony Spell), pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Central, a misdemeanor summons for six counts of violating the governor’s executive order (LA R.S. 29:724E) following his decision to host multiple large gatherings.
He should be charged with his 7th count, but instead of just being issued a summons, be placed in handcuffs and taken to EBR detention center for processing. Hold a bail hearing in court the following Monday.
