Bastards took out like 1/4 of my back lawn in two days. I assumed it was fertilizer burn until I realized it was spreading really quickly and actually got down and checked around. Half of the city seems to have these things spring up in the last week.

I bought some of the Cutter stuff you put on your hose because it was all that was left at Lowe’s and in no great supply. Anyone know how well this stuff actually works or have alternative methods if it doesn’t? Never dealt with army worms before.

On the flip side, you won’t have to mow as often.

Lemons and lemonade, you know?

They deliberately avoided almost all of the weeds and went straight for the Bermuda grass. That’s like the king of dick moves.

You will get far better answers to this on the home and garden board.

I don’t know what the active ingredient is in the Cutter but Malathion will take care of them

They’ve been bad in Oklahoma this year. Whole state.

We just sprayed for them like Friday.

Try going out to your 20 acre millet patch and it looking like the Gobi desert. That’s a 5K dive field down the shitter.

Mustang Maxx - you will need a restricted pesticide use license or find a friend that’s got one.

Any product comprised of this chemistry will require a license but these are the most effective:

methoxyfenozide, diflubenzuron, and chlorantraniliprole

Follow label re rates, timing and methods of application.

You must not have seen many baskets from people using ebt as a form of payment. It is usually with with processed foods and junk food.

What about up-cyde 2.5ec? Active ingredient is cypermethrin. Seemed to work the first time around (3 weeks ago).

I think that product is a synthetic pyrethrin and will provide some control - the products I mentioned previously, give the longest residual control and are commonly used in hay production operations over my way. The product you asked about is also restricted I believe.

Texas A&M Turfgrass Weed, Insect, Disease Control Guide

This is the only manual you'll need to treat just about anything regarding turf grasses.

We had army worms pretty bad so I put down a mix of bifenthrin/zeta cypermethrin granules, watered that in and sprayed a liquid mix of cyfluthrin/lambda cyhalothrin in low concentration the next day. That took care of everything.

In what area do you live? We had them bad in north Texas a couple years ago.
