Gov Edwards is a genius. He knew the spike in crime would occur around the holidays and freed up 1900 beds by releasing all those criminals! GENIUS!

Going to be interesting to see how it plays out when BR's crime impacts LSU's enrollment numbers. At some point BR has to take crime seriously and do more than put up new lights.

It’s a pretty creepy walk through the “woods” to get to Cypress after dark. I’m surprised it isn’t targeted more frequently, frankly.

BR had a serial killer targeting women around LSU. Enrollment wasn’t impacted.

If anything, the annual uncertainly of TOPS and Greek system issues will have a greater impact than crime.

Go read the LSU parents Facebook page. They're upset about it. Complaints about new dorm being built in that area. Apparently there was recently another dorm already built close to the nearby ghetto that they are upset about too.

Greek issues will have a larger impact though, I agree.

Exactly. This is a statistical anomaly and happens from time to time. Get back to me when it is a regular occurrence and we can discuss potential impact on enrollment.

Were all the wide receivers accounted for at that time?

Does New Orleans’ crime numbers affect Tulane, Loyola or UNO’s enrollment numbers?

The text alert indicated it was on Cypress Dr. at West Chimes. Which is next to the University House off campus apartments and the old softball field.

The parents on the page are nuts. They freak out when a kid rolls over a life in the road and thinks it needs to be reported to the police.

Unless you are granted access, the page isn’t viewable to the public.
