Nope, 100% glowing praise about how great this is and how awesome it is that the Top 15 students at Arlington High were all women.
Could you imagine if this was reversed and the Top 15 were all guys. We would probably see the principal flanked by Arlington ISD's superintendent talking about how unfair schools have become, how toxic masculinity has made its way into the classroom, and how something needs to be done about this to reduce the disparity, saying a 12 point plan will be on his desk to sign by July 1.
Double standards.

Did you just assume their gender?
Posted on 6/1/17 at 7:44 pm to goldennugget
God forbid the top 15 were white males

I love how you invented a double standard to get offended over

That is what I thought. Hope she has a scholarship or her parents are paying because out of state to a private school like BYU isn't cheap. All to major in a field where she will probably be teaching high school students for $50k a year with six figures of debt.

What are the odds one of them was diddled by a teacher? Based on OT reports, I'd say more likely than not.

There are about 700 students in the school’s graduating class, and they are pretty much evenly divided between boys and girls. But of the top 20, 17 are girls.
Sounds like some Arlington baws need to do better.

Well I'm sure if she does ok at byu she won't have to worry about much of anything.

Obviously the school system is set up for girls to succeed and to keep heterosexual males down

Sounds like the boys need to step it up.

BYU isn't anywhere near that expensive. And if she's LDS she gets a 50% discount.

You're whole argument is based on a what if scenario

What doesn't offend you?

BYU is around $2500 per semester in tuition for members of the church. BYU is probably the single best value (quality of ed vs cost) in the country for LDS folks. Other than being poor and getting into Yale where your tuition is a % of your parent's income if they make less than something like $150k per year.

Oh how I yearn for the good ole days. When parents sent their daughters to school to get that Mrs. degree, and we took our chances.
Some of us made it without getting hooked.

It's not a secret girls are better students than boys on average.
ETA: Give it a few years, some will be pregnant and alone, others sluts
getting pounded on the reg and a few will make it.

The Valedictorian from my high school was a girl.
Couldn't care less.
And coincidentally, is a doctor in Baton Rouge these days.
