If it's so great, why are they having to bribe people to move there?

WITH that said, I like fayetville.

Curious as to why they’d pay a relocation fee. They area is awesome.

I’d send my son there for college if they give him a full ride.

If I could find a job making as much money as my current job, I’d move up there and they could keep the money and the bike.

I’d rather not live in the Fayetteville area though- I would prefer Newton, Boone or Searcy counties.

$2,000 an acre to $150,000 for half an acre. Depends on how close to civilization you want to be.

The whole STEAM thing is pandering to the Walton family. They are big into art and throwing the A in there gets you some donation money from them.

If ya gotta pay people to live there, ya might wanna take a look at why it's so unappealing in the 1st place, or not gonna retain residents long term.
The three Fortune 500 companies HQ'd here (Walmart, Tyson, JB Hunt) are companies that were doing very well pre-Covid and are making out like gang-busters during Covid.

The unemployment rate here is like 1.8% or something, there are not enough people here to sustain the further expansion of these companies. The mid-sized companies in the area are also supply chain/logistics related so they are doing well, too.

There's nothing for the O&G baws of the OT, but if you are in IT, retail, or supply chain there's plenty of opportunities.
