So I can't have kids because I pointed out that based on the information in the original post we didn't know the actual facts of how the killing happened? Subsequent posts suggested (based on whose testimony, I don't know) that the deceased struggled with the father over the gun, then having wrestled it away did not shoot the father, but shot himself? Seems improbable to me. I also said in a subsequent post that I had not seen allegations against the deceased, while the OP simply said man killed while "found in a car" with the daughter. Everyone here needs to learn some reading comprehension and understanding of context.
I only advocated for allowing the legal system to work based on the actual facts and not on representations made by the families of anyone involved who is soliciting financial aid. There are trained investigators who hopefully will get the real facts.
And by the way, my daughter is the smartest and most beautiful human being I've ever known. Soon to be a doctor. I hired armed bodyguards for her, beginning when she started attending classes at a university at age eleven.

Sheriff says no charges have been filed
Update picked up by Daily Mail. Sheriff indicates he has been contacted by some people.
To me, it's worse that the family had to post a 150K bail to get the Father out of jail.

Police arrested him on scene and charged him, yes. But the Prosecutor’s Office in Lonoke has the final say and is reviewing the evidence collected by police to see if they’re going to formally file charges.

Wonder if this will go to a Grand Jury.
If it doesn't, I'm guessing like most prosecutors they are going to want to charge him with something reduced instead of going "justified". Give us the "a man died, regardless of the circumstances" line of bullshite.
I wish prosecutors and LEO took the same tack whenever a cop shoots someone, even if justified.
