Definitely not the latter 3. He said Rex at his time was in the same line as the others. might be different now. They may let members in the krewe but as far as being in the Boston’s or pickwick’s...that’s definitely a no go

Definitely. And I could be wrong about the Rex thing. I don't really move in those circles. I was associated peripherally and that was a while ago.

I know a couple of folks that married into established families that are members of Comus and their backgrounds are blue collar middle class.

Some are boring as all hell. Some are a lot of fun.
The Endymion Extravaganza is not a ball, but it's a hell of a party that goes on all night long.
Next year find someone you know who rides and get them to buy you a ticket

The only “ball” you can go to publicly that’s “big” is Orphescapade after Orpheus on Monday. Other than that you have to be associated with a member. Old line balls are vastly different than super krewe balls

You should join us for our next out of New Orleans social. We’ve paid for too many milfs so you should be good. Coat and tie. 9pm Thursday 5454 Bluebonnet Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70809

Order a mint julep and ask for Johnny Ray.

Its not hard to get tickets to balls. The only ones anyone who isnt a member would want to go to are bacchaus, orpehus, endymion, or Thoth.

On a side note I have heard the Thoth ball is an absolute shite show.

Are you messing with me lol? But some of the hot socially connected sorority girls from top tier sororities go to these balls. They also have bands. I never been drunk in NOLA/.

If you really want to get drunk in New Orleans around socially connected women on a monthly basis, if you're catholic, you should join the Young Catholic Professionals. Their monthly "speaker sessions" (i.e. drunken debauchery fests) are a great place to meet people.

Also, I've been to Mardi Gras balls in Baton Rouge and Lafayette. The Baton Rouge ones are awful, like an Oxford tailgate (cold chicken nuggets) mixed with drunken adult prom. The Lafayette ones (for the top flight krewes) are really nice classy affairs. The pagentry, the band, the food, the people, the booze, etc are all top shelf.
