They probably are. But it's not drastic. Nothing that makes me go, "holy frick" when I look at my bank statement. Our biggest expenditure has always been eating out. Me and my wife used to eat out everyday for lunch and about 3-4 times a week for dinner with the kids. We've always talked about cutting back but never really had the incentive to do so. COVID has provided that incentive. It's kind of opened our eyes.

Oh yes. The grocery bill is higher than normal, but every other cost has plummeted. Weirdly enough, even my electric bill is lower. The biggest decrease has been our "entertainment costs," which includes things like restaurants, bars, parties, concerts, sporting events, festivals etc. Plus, we're not using lots of gas or Ubers to get to all these things, and my wife isn't purchasing outfits and makeup to wear to said events.
Blessed to be able to save a bit during this time.

My whole life was on a corporate account Monday through Thursday before the lockdown.
Spending a lot less than I would otherwise if I were home all week every week, but the net effect is not much.

Still paying for everything for the kids and now they’re eating 3 meals plus snacks at day at home, wife and I drink more due to the former as well, so probably spending more than usual.

Way less on food and not eating out. However, we are nearly making up for it on projects around the house that are totally optional but we get to drinking in the evening and everything is a great idea and a click away on Amazon. Lol

yes, we've almost paid off what we have of credit card debt and put most of the stimulus in savings.
We're both essential, so still working and we're paying a little bit for kids private school but not aftercare.
