I think being proud of something that is out of your control is just lame. You can love feel lucky about it or even love it. You can't choose where your born from. Just like you can't choose your hair color or your family.
You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose

I am very fortunate to be an American. So, yes. I come a long line of family members to have served in the military. Past and present.

Extremely proud. Every nation has problems, but when you put it all in perspective, this one's problems are dwarfed by those of the rest of the world. Anyone who is born in America was blessed to get to play the game of life on easy mode.

You don't have to be born in America to be an American. Just like you don't have to stay an American if you were born there. So, you can choose which nation you are a citizen of if you have the means to get there (for the most part). So I see no problem with someone being proud to be an American, and I understand having pride for your nation.

Above anything else. I'm lucky to be alive and fortunate to be an American.

Yes and while I love my homeland if I had the money I'd probably leave to another country. Although it would to have to be a really good country like New Zealand or a Scandinavian country. Probably not Sweden since it seems the SJWs control it.

I'm just fricking around, since the admins find it ok to allow asscheeks and all kind of other bullshite in avatars and Sig pics, but take mine away cause it was a screenshot of of something that's seen everyday I've been letting the venom fly at random people, hoping to get it as verbally vulgar as possible.

If you mean "proud" in the sense that if I was in a group of people from various other countries, would I be proud of what I represent? Yes and no. I'm proud of what this country has done historically and what our Constitution stands for, but I'm not proud of the image that America has earned in the last few decades. The rest of the world sees us as whiny, privileged, arrogant narcissists who idolize people like Kim kardashian and Miley Cyrus. And that's not an inaccurate description for a lot of people here.

I feel lucky to be an American, and I am proud of America (in general). To say I am proud of myself for being an American is weird, but in the context of how it's typically used, my answer is certainly yes.
