Too much common sense for the OT with that post

I am aware. I'll never get the OT's obsession with O&G baws. They make a very honest living working with their hands. I work in industrial construction so I work at the same sites as the welders, pipefitters, operators, etc.

Haven't heard of many layoffs or companies downsizing in TX.

Prayers sent to all and their families

Direct gas prices this second do not effect the ongoing operations and expansions of plants and refineries. It may lead to less future plants being built, etc but it has no effect at the current time.

Thoughts and prayers going out to you good, honest workers as we approach Black Friday and the Holidays. I feel downright awful. I’m anticipating some new gofundme accounts.

Good. I've got to drive to NOLA today and petrol in NW Florida is $.40 a gallon more expensive. I'm not buying gas until after I've forded the Pearl.

Feel free to stop using petroleum products any time if you think people in the oil field are overpayed.

Because oil is still being drilled at profitable prices. Let it drop down to $45 a barrel and then let's see.

I never said if it dropped below $45 a barrel. I said it dropping 30 cents won't do anything.

Gas is $4 per gallon here in liberal land. Gotta love all those excess taxes.

Taking pleasure in the pain of others shows your lack of character..but then, it's evident that most people are aware of this already.

what type of role will they fill?

may not be as many heads rolling as you think. Many companies are running lean anyway. I haven't heard/seen too many "extra" hands hired on like in the past.

Well considering this is the type of stuff I do for a living and I know exactly how much their spending, I think I've got a decent idea.

Amazon not having to pay taxes and making other people pay more taxes are not the same thing.
