I live outside of a small town in our state and I love it. reasonable cost of living, our public school system is really good due to the number of graduates who return home after receiving their teaching certification. Children live nearby and combined income for them and their partners exceed $200K .
My wife and I are retired and could live anywhere but choose to live here.

For those who are critical of our choices, the door to the state swings both ways. If you're not happy here, then go somewhere else!

The da and coroner are ineffectual spineless losers. As a rule, coroners (in Louisiana) are lazy and go-along to get along types..district attorneys are only interested in closing cases and do not give a damn about victims families and justice. It's all about the votes and job security baby! Keep up with your local district court and be prepard to be pissed off.
Hell as long as our local da has a fifth of charter at his camp, all is good with the world..frick justice.
