Last time I went out to L.A., it was something like $4.79 for premium. I have a 55gal tank in my truck, and get ~13mpg. It hurt.

Had to restart the pump twice, because of the $99 cap

They can still make money at $55/barrel

This is so true. I recently worked for a large O&G company and after the 2015 plummet the company was re-organized to be profitable at $45 a barrel.

I just started a new job at another large O&G company and they re-organized to be profitable at $33 a barrel.

Most companies learned a lot from 2015 and no longer rely on $100 a barrel.

There is some drilling going on, but the Oil Co.'s have dropped salaries and are holding back on production to leverage the state to drop the legacy lawsuits. Once we have a new Republican Governor we will get cranking again.

I’m alright in the short term. This has happened really quick and we were starting to get really busy as of late. A few weeks ago we were holding at 70 and looking like we were going into 80’s when all of a sudden prices started tanking. In my opinion and I’m a Trump supporter but he really screwed up the prices this last go round with the tweets to Saudi and OPEC about regulating the prices through managing inventories etc...

I'm in the Oilfield Service Side in the Gulf
