In today’s world, no one is going to date or marry each other if they have different political views. Liberals are unbearable in today’s world and it just wouldn’t workout. They think anyone who’s conservative is a Nazi so they won’t even attempt to get to know someone who’s a conservative

I wouldn't date a progressive. It just seems like there would be too many issues with regards to things like raising children etc. She probably wouldn't like me anyway so it would likely never be an issue to begin with.

I've dated liberals and conservatives. Rarely talked politics. Women don't want to talk about serious shite (well unless it's concerning them), they want to have a good time.

Maybe marriage is different but I can't imagine taking politics into account with someone I'm dating.

My wife and I rarely discussed politics when we were dating 16-17 years ago. The world also seemed less political back then. I think we both had a good idea that we were pretty close on most issues though.

I don't see how a right winger and a progressive could ever marry each other unless one or both just didn't care about politics for the most part. How would you raise your children if you are an avid hunter and she's a member of Peta? Just seems like an unnecessary obstacle in a long term relationship.

Well, unfortunately, the rational and moderate voter is being extinct. Every issue isn’t black and white. There is a ton of grey areas where one person in the relationship may not be in line with you. As long as you can be civil with one another and find more important things to have in common, like hobbies and things to do then I don’t see the big deal with having a spouse that you’re not 100% in agreement with everything.

We absolutely don't. My wife is a Reagan style conservative and I'm much more of a Ron Paul libertarian learning type.

I'm thinking more of something like me being a country boy from Central dating a purple haired vegan from Portland or something like that

My last girlfriend was extremely liberal. I found out she was in the KKK and broke up with her. Didn’t realize how common that is with liberals

Wouldn’t date a liberal, but they tend to be easy and up for a good time, so...

Humans tend to think about life, try to understand it and make a better future. Animals just live and do whatever their instincts tell them. ie. enjoy life, often in the short-term to the detriment of the long term. But you do you bruh.

I think you're thinking of those who are really political. In my experience most people just aren't (or maybe I'm just really good at subconsciously avoiding those that are) so even if you fall under a particular ideology by default you don't feel strongly enough to let it get in the way of someone who's otherwise a great match.

I would raise my child to see the world as it is, ask a lot of questions, think critically, and make their own mind. I don't need to raise a carbon copy of myself. I'd just want a kid that's law abiding and feels enabled to pursue their passions.

YOu would think if the parents could balance it in their relationship they could balance that in the raising of a child.

I'm not overly political. I actually have a decent amount of disdain for politics. But being married and raising children with someone who has a lot of opposing values seems like an unnecessary complication that I personally wouldn't bother with.

My husband is conservative but I’m more conservative than him. I like politics he doesn’t although in the last year he has gotten more into since the liberals wanna frick our country up. And no I couldn’t date someone with the mental capacity of a 3 year. Liberalism is a mental disease.

Your realization is most couples aren’t the exact same level of conservative? Shocking

Handy guide-- women date up the economic spectrum far more than men date up or across it.

This means that men are willing to sleep with anything with interest and a 'gina. Women want security and signs of potential future prosperity-- so men will invariably end up dating women who are less conservative than they are, almost across the board.

She's 10 years younger than me, from Philadelphia, and when we were young it was a lower middle class for both..but then i got money in my late teens. i dont know if I'm more conservative but I believe in capitalism more than socialism or communism.

I dont care about the pandering to select groups, and their never ending complaining. Also feel there are too many dumb laws in the country and not enough common sense. Can't even party anymore.
