Not political. More about relationship dynamics.

My experience has shown me that there is a trend in dating relationships where one person in the relationship trends to being more conservative than the other.

Since I can only state my observation, I'm asking has anyone else noticed a trend?

Let's say you have two couples, one couple identifies as super conservative and the other super liberal.

I'm asking that in each of these couples, have you noticed a trend within the individual couples that would trend to one attribute that best determines which within the couple would be more conservative/liberal?

In today’s world, no one is going to date or marry each other if they have different political views. Liberals are unbearable in today’s world and it just wouldn’t workout. They think anyone who’s conservative is a Nazi so they won’t even attempt to get to know someone who’s a conservative

You are saying that you are more conservative than your partner. What is the primary attribute that separates you from your partner? (Age, sex, country of birth, race, socioeconomic upbringing, other)

Do you see a trend in other couples where that same attribute could similarly separate other couples along the same lines as you and your partner?

I was alot more conservative than my wife when we got married. She has gradually become more conservative. I don't think I could have dated a liberal to be honest

Wife is conservative but I’m leaps and bounds more vocal about it. She hates when I talk politics.

Tricky. I would say I'm a manlier man than average. Ron Swanson personified in a lot of ways. Almost a caricature as a result.

The type of woman who is attracted to that isn't super conservative (because those women are self sufficient), but not super liberal either.

I'd say most are conservative leaning confident women who still like to be taken care of.

I'm pretty socially liberal, but don't believe in hand outs, encroaching on free speech, or fooling with gun rights.

The ok lady is slightly more conservative than myself.... But is a Democrat because her family are elected in that party.

I'm not getting much traction in this thread.

So I'll just state it. You, another poster l, & myself, have all noted that the male of the relationship tends to be more conservative than the female.

There are more liberal guys that each of our partners could have been with, but they ended up choosing a person with more conservative viewpoints than their own.

That's the actual purpose of this thread.
Why do men gravitate towards women more liberal than they are and/or why do women gravitate towards men that are more conservative than they are?

there are plenty of ultra conservative women and there's plenty of super liberal guys, I just find it funny that on an individual couple level, men are more conservative and women are more liberal. Just wondering why.

I was in about a six month relationship with a far left woman. We didn't discuss politics, but she gave the most incredible BJs.

My wife leans left, I used to say I leaned right, but it’s not a lean anymore. I am firmly on the right.

She keeps her thoughts to herself for the most part and listens to me bitch. We feel the same about the major issues.

Been married to a liberal for 3 decades. Politics is rarely a topic we discuss. That is something we agreed on years ago.

I don’t really care what one’s beliefs are as long as you are a good person and you don’t try to force others to be like you.

Men like liberal women because they are more likely to want sex. Liberal women want conservative men because they are more like to be an actual man and have money.

This.

Also I have witnessed friends that were moderate on the political scale date flaming libs and completely turn into a different person. No way I could ever date a lib.

So maybe give up asking the same question 3 times in the same thread? If people want to discuss they will, if it’s a topic they don’t give a shite about they won’t.

Personally politics doesn’t drive my life and I have more to do and enjoy than constantly think about that.

You should not marry or date any woman who is political.

You should only marry those that are of the same religion as you or willing to convert.

There is no female so attractive or with any other attributes that you should think of breaking these rules.

My wife is more conservative than I am but I'm not exactly a Bernie supporter either.
