I suck.

I can do other type if interviews fine and I don't get nervous and I have no problem chairing meetings and stuff but there just something about job interviews where I listen to myself and I sound like a rambling mess.

Like I get wrapped up in a loop of wanting to say too much but then wanting to make it concise but the concise version doesn't make as much sense so end in the jumbled middle

Also, i suck at the "tell me about yourself" question. I don't feel justified to answer that question.

I'm sure the career path at 7-11 will treat you well.

No but its ok because I'm even worse at writing a resume so I rarely even get interviews.

Interviews = sales. Make it all about the other person. I had an interview recently and I asked him more questions than he asked me. Guess who got the gig?

I've always done well in them but hate stupid questions.

It's a lot easier when you already have a job so you are not desperate.

I'm not great at them. Luckily I have a lot of industry contacts and 15+ years of experience now.

Look up some stuff about the place of employment and ask questions. Shows you're prepared and the extra step will probably calm your nerves a bit. If you're still nervous about it I wouldn't worry. Asking them questions shows you're really interested and the nervousness will just amplify that message to an extent. Obviously you can't walk in and barely be able to spit out a coherent sentence.

I’ve never gone to a job interview where I didn’t get offered the job.

Yes. I've only not received an offer after one in person interview. Granted, I haven't had that many and most weren't very important.

A lot of it has to do with demeanor and body language more than what you say

Haven't done one in forever. I was relaxed for it because I was getting a ton of callbacks so I knew one would be a hit.

I'm an expert at administering them. The key is to be yourself, research the company, ask a few questions about the role and direction of company, and learn to walk the line between confident and braggadocios.

Last one I did was for a company that called me out of the blue and I didn't care whether I got it or not.

Of course I aced it and got an offer, then I turned it down.
