We have a trip up to Utah next week planned to go skiing at Park City and visit the in-laws, who live on the other side of the mountain range. We're undecided on whether or not to cancel, not because of concern for ourselves, but because her parents are in their mid-80's and we don't want to pick up the bug somewhere and share with them.

If that happened, we'd likely be ill ourselves and quarantined, unable to travel to help them. They currently are staying on their ranch and have their groceries dropped off at the front door, so are avoiding as much as possible potential infection.

Both of them have existing health problems. I guess we could get a place to stay and still ski w/o seeing them. We have a few days to decide.

I would go and just tell them you will visit next time.

I downvoted your thread because I got ripped apart for posing the same question. Nothing personal, baw. Just paying it forward!

With flights as cheap as they are right now? I'm planning trips I wouldn't have otherwise.

My very good friends are getting married in 2 weeks in Connecticut. I bought my tickets with points, so I'm only $12 out if that happens.

I am scheduled to fly home from Germany in 27 days. I am taking a wait and see approach at this time. I can't be sure but I don't believe the full 30 days will stick but at this point I don't know. From everything I have read I would be able to fly with a medical check before, but if I have to be in some kind of quarantine for a few days or something than I will probably reschedule. That is also assuming the flight is not canceled.

As long as you aren’t flying, I think you’re good to go.
