I'm afraid of heights in all of those situations, basically where I have to trust my own balance and ability. I'm not afraid of heights on roller coasters, planes, or other situations that I trust.

If it's a roller coaster at one of those pop-up carnivals, I do not trust that.

Wow.
How freaked out was he those last moments when he was struggling to get back up.

So stupid.

If you can't even do more than a couple of pull ups, why would you do something like that?

His miscalculation was the angle and size of the coping (?) at the top of the wall. He could do pull ups for days. His "purchase" was beyond the length he could reach. That was the "oh shite" moment when he realized he could not reach the hand-hold needed to lift back

Im not afraid of being on a plane or looking from the top of the empire state building. But seeing gifs and pictures like this makes me uncomfortable. Idk why, but my heart always skips a beat. And if I were in their shoes, yes id be scared fricking shitless.

I'm not afraid of heights, it's the thought of becoming a human pancake when I hit the ground that bothers me.

Sheer heights make my stomach hurt. Cliffs and tall buildings are the worst. Flying is okay, just no helicopters.

Yes

I wasn't, but i started having dreams of me falling about 10 years ago. I would fall, and wake up right as i hit the concrete, because of these dreams, i have become scared as frick.

frick.
You.

Also on the "AHH shite!" list are VR games where you can look over an edge. Oddly enough, it's not really heights that bother me. It's having an edge I can fall over. I'll ride in a plane all fricking day long and have no problem looking out of the window or go up to the top floor in a tall building and stand at a window. You go up a little bit more on the roof, though, and I don't want to be anywhere near the railing.

I shite my pants when I get to the top of the ladder to get on my roof. No way I would go within 20 ft of where those people are in the videos without some sort of cable attached to me.

My sentiments exactly. No way would I do what those folks are doing. Not afraid of heights, and not stupid either.

Those gifs make me feel it in my legs.

I couldn't do any of that.

I'm ok with heights, just as long as I'm four or more feet away from the edge. Any closer than that and I'm crawling.
