Just argue this in traffic court yourself. No need to get a lawyer involved.

If you don’t have a history of moving violations, contact the district attorney’s office and ask about having it moved to a non-moving violation and or taking a defensive driving course to keep a moving violation off your record.

F1 racing rules. If his front bumper was ahead he has rights to that corner, or lane.

my translation of all that shite is
"A Tesla driver tried to merge in front of me so I sped up to prevent that nonsense. But a gas vehicle, hippie!"

The vehicle infront of me slammed his brakes due to a car cutting infront of him. The entire exit ramp is a cluster. But my front bumper was always even with his back wheel - he never had the space to get over. He tried to force it hoping id brake and I didn't. I certainly didn't speed up

In Michigan, the prosecutor will almost always cut a deal where an attorney is involved.

Why didn’t you just let him in?

I don't want these points on my record and my insurance rates to jack up.

You gotta close that gap.

Nobody does. The left lane backs up a good half mile every day due to the construction so you have to wait in the left lane for a good 10 minutes. Right lane is right turn only. People try to cut the line by using the right lane and attempt to get over. Usually no one let's them over because they dont want to reward line cutters, so they have to take the L and turn right. But some people force their way over. I've seen this play out every day the past few months. I've seen collisions and near collisions today it was my turn

Yes. Its a lot cheaper than going to court on your assigned date and maybe get lucky and the cop will not show up and if he does, you can take a chance with a good story and cross your fingers. If that doesn't work than its definitely worth paying a lawyer who, if they are charging you what the ticket will cost, probably isn't a great lawyer to begin with.

At least your ice cream cake didn’t melt in the back seat

I'd fight it. If it weren't a Tesla this would look like a classic "getting over without checking your blind spot" accident. I'm not taking the ticket for that.

Don't Teslas have collision avoidance? So it's driver overrode that system?
