I hate them because the wife will call like clockwork the morning of the first cold front panicking think she has a flat tire.
I didnt need some bluetooth sensor to tell me I had a low tire. Plus it makes a ninjas OCD act up when I see 36 36 35 36

What did people do before tpms ?
Check your tires periodically.

How about replacing your sensor.
Unless you have the sensors that forcibly make you purchase tires outside of you control.

The scam is going to your local dealership for a fix for $140 while you can get it fixed at your local tire shop for $40 +tax. Done been there. Shop around.

I would like to know where I can get all sensors checked and replaced for $200-$400. I was quoted this week for $100 a tire.

cheap replacements on Amazon.

Make sure the spare is correctly inflated. If that’s not it then you have at least one bad sensor. Either replace the sensor or live with the light being on

I think Toyotas are notorious for sensors failing.

Being low on blinker fluid will cause this light to stay on.

Correct.
Uncle Sam mandated TPMS because we're too stupid to fill up our tires. Low tires lead to excess fuel consumption.
Still can't figure out why they mandated rear cameras, tho.

Those tire sensors drive me crazy like the constant notifications on my phone app. And I feel like they need replacing almost as often as tires. I’d rather not even have them.

Sensor could also be showing your front passenger side tire is low but that tire actually in a different spot on the car. They need to relearn the tire locations after a tire rotation. Make sure they all have good pressure manually.

I use them on trailers and have avoided many a blow out knowing the tire pressure is getting lower.

Any tire place can do it… for about $100+ per wheel. Not worth it in my opinion. You can’t replace them without taking the tire off the rim.

Thanks for this thread. Been having this exact issue with my 2008 Accord and its been driving me up a damn wall. Fill tires up and a week later the damn sensor is lit up again on the dashboard.

When the batteries in the sensors start to go bad, the light stays on.

Don't know if a scam, but not needed. Most people don't check tires often. Probably mostly in the fall when temps are cooler and tire pressures decrease according to Boyle's Law or something.
