They could be Orange Cap Boletus, but I'm not willing to bet a lifetime on dialysis on it.
When you stray from Morel and Chanterelle on ID, you are taking a risk.

We call them Jack o lantern mushrooms. Because they are orange, and they grow in big clusters that look like pumpkins, and they appear close to Halloween.
Very mild, very common, perfectly fine to eat.

Ringless honey mushrooms. Usually grow on wood, the mushrooms are fine to eat but depending on what they are growing on they might pick up bitter taste from the host...that’s what a quick google search brought up

Omphalotus olearius, commonly known as the jack-o'-lantern mushroom, is a poisonous orange gilled mushroom that to an untrained eye appears similar to some chanterelles. It is notable for its bioluminescent properties. It is found in woodland areas in Europe, where it grows on decaying stumps, on buried roots or at the base of hardwood trees. It has also been reported from the Western Cape Province, South Africa. A similar, but phylogenetically distinct[2] species found in eastern North America is Omphalotus illudens.

Foraging and cooking wild mushrooms sounds really cool. I’m just scared I’d F it up and vomit all night.

I was watching this show a long time ago where this guy was going around the woods picking edible mushrooms. They were under leaves and brush and shite. I was like you can keep that shite.
