I had facial surgery and the doc used it as a local anesthetic. Said it inhibited bleeding as well. I was amazed. As was the nurse.

I didn't really like cocaine, but I loved the smell of it.

Freud thought it was a cure all wonder drug.

Of course he also thought boys would see their mother naked and get scared that their father had chopped off mommy's penis

Try saying hey doc I bit the side of my mouth and I don't want to feel it anymore. He will rub some white powder on it and you won't feel the pain anymore.

There are a number of medical applications, including dental and sinus treatments that are available in the U.S.

Little tidbit - a single company, Stepan Company (NSYE:SCL) is allowed to import "live" coca leaves to refine pharmaceutical grade cocaine in the U.S. The cocaine is sold, legally, to an Irish pharmaceutical firm, Mallinckrodt (NYSE:MNK). The spent coca leaves are sold to a beverage company who uses it for flavoring their flagship product. The beverage company is Coca-Cola (NYSE:K).

The more you know, right?

I toured the Coca Cola factory as a kid and they told us that they never used cocaine, it was all just an urban legend.

This was pre internet so you couldn't easily fact check them. Those frickers straight up lied.
