I’ve given many weddings gifts and the majority of numb nut, spoiled kids do not send Thank You notes. Heck, most of them do not even know how to properly address it anyway. So, damn sad that the kid’s
Parents raised such inconsiderate people. Have some damn manners and etiquette since you want an $50,000 plus wedding or even better yet expect people to your destination wedding. Insolent beings.

It’s an old tradition like men wearing suits and marriage. All have gone way to the snowflake soyboys

Be lucky if you get an invitation in the mail.

Last Spring I was invited to an announcement party, but they only sent invites through FB. I don't have FB. I was told about it and didn't go (I had something else going on and if my official invite is going to be through a platform I don't even have its not my first priority).

I got a call the next morning asking me why I didn't go (it was for a relative, not immediate family). I told them I don't consider FB invites and word of mouth official invites. I did send a gift and no I didn't get a thank you card.

I think having someone to send that type of mail is a good reason to get married. I've always thought this is something women care more about than men. I'm 64 and haven't sent one since I graduated college. If I was married, I think it would be expected.

In my family, they are required. Even the little kids do something in notes.

that's the first thing we did with our kids, no matter what the occasion, they were writing notes immediately afterward

Is it really meaningful if it's expected? What's special about a card written cause it's something you're supposed to do?

Not reading 4 pages.

My wife (no Pics) says they are required and has tried to teach our daughter (again no Pics) how to write them. It does seem to be a dying art form but those that know, know they are very much required. It's the smallest of niceties that keep a civilized society civilized.
