Are people more respected if they attend their respective church regularly?

Not always, but those I know who do are huge hypocrites and want to be seen....fwiw

More respected means to attend and to live your life accordingly.
Just walking into a law school doesn't make you a lawyer although you might feel like one.

By whom? Most people aren't even going to know.
A rypical parish has several Masses each weekend so even regulars aren't going to notice who goes every week. And members of other parishes or other faiths won't know your attendance at all.

So you think people only go to church to be seen?
I haven't been on a regular basis in the past few months. But when I was going on a more regular basis, it certainly wasn't so others saw me there. My church is a big church with services at several times on Sunday. No way people there pay that much attention to every person that is there.

Sure, there are some people who love to be seen in that light. But just as the bible warns against that, it also warns against someone like me trying to pull the splinter from their eye when I have a plank (or two) protruding from mine.

Don't really get your premise, but...
I go to hear the Word, gain some knowledge, enjoy the music and commune with God.
Can't say I've ever kept track of who is or isn't there. Too busy hoping the Pastor doesn't look at me when he's talking about sin.

What does going to church regularly have anything to do with your moral fortitude and respect? Some of the most judgmental, horrible people I've ever met went to church regularly. All going to church regularly does is gives you a personal sense of piousness, and that's really it. If you're actually righteous and morally respectable, then it will be almost entirely towards people outside of your church bubble.

The Church of Cha-Ching (the King) types?
Not so much. That's like Little Theater to some folks.
Mainline traditional religions? (Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Romain Catholic, etc..)

All the local politicians that I know miraculously appear at mass every Sunday during election season, but then aren't seen again until the next re-election time. I guess they think people don't notice that shite.

It's not just showing up to Mass.
Anyone remember when Marc Morial wanted to repeal term limits? The levees hadn't been mowed in months. The morning of the referendum, everyone woke up and the levee was all nice and neat.
They always make a show of being awesome at election time, whether it's reminding you they're a fellow parishioner or doing the job they should have been doing all along.
