Judging others and keeping score of their sins? There was a group like that in the Middle East about 2000 years ago. They were called the Pharisees.
Probably had a Rebel Flag on the rear bumper of their chariot.

Do you even go to church
No I don't...three reasons
1 I was forced to do so every Sunday as a child.
2 The pedophile coverup is hypocrisy
3 I've been to the Vatican and St. Peter's square and the same thing that pissed Jesus off at the temple still occurs to this day. Its a cash grab.

If you don't go to church, then why do you even care about how a person spends their Sunday?
Also, if you don't go to church, how do you even know what church is like?
Sounds like you have issues with the Catholic faith....there are other denominations you know.

This is the thread where the people who don't go to church can judge those who do go to church which, ironically, makes them exactly like the people who go to church to judge others.

That pretty much sums it up

Ask Jonathan Butler and his father.

Have you attended other churches besides Catholic ones?

You said everyone you know that goes to church regularly is a hypocrite. Why do you say that? Because they don't act like perfect people? That is pretty much every human on this planet. Maybe they go to church every Sunday cause they recognize they are far from perfect and need that weekly sermon to help them strive to be better?

I prefaced with not always...meaning not everyone. My point is I feel too many people are going for the wrong reasons. And some get off just being able to say they go to church every Sunday. I go every now and then....that's all.

Totally depends on whose opinion you ask. Some people will respect it more, some will hold that in contempt, and some honestly couldn't GAF.
Besides, as my late grandfather once noted, any man who never offended anyone probably wasn't worth a damn.

Alot of people were raised with religion and have a sense of guilt that they should go to church. I feel sorry for them as I've been there. I was raised Mormon. I never really bought into it. As an adult I've tried different religions but nothing ever felt right.
At this point I have peace without organized religion in my life. I enjoy waking up late on Sundays with my lady next to me, have a little fun with her, then get up and have a relaxing morning with my kids. Truly a day of rest...and with no guilt for anyone involved.

Hey, nothing wrong with that. Going to church doesn't instantly make you some super Christian, as I'm sure you already know. Like I said, I haven't been going every week myself either. Mainly cause of my work schedule. And cause once you don't go one week, it gets easier to not go the next, and so on and so on. I know I should go more, cause I benefit from it when I go. My relationship with Christ benefits from it most importantly though. And for any Christian, that should be the motivator to go to church.

I imagine there are certainly those that fall under this category.

I promised the Lord I would raise my children according to his will. I took them Sun ., Sun night and Wed nights. They both turned out great, and are actively involved in their church. No regrets.

Sounds like overkill..... Hitting the big holidays along with the collection plate and that should secure you a spot up there with the big fella.

If your going to church to be respected your missing the point of going to church
Posted on 11/11/15 at 10:25 pm to mpar98
who cares? that would just be an illusion, keeping up appearances
they're just warming a seat...there's not 501c3 church teaching chapter by chapter and verse by verse.
they put on a show...make a few quotes...big deal, no teaching, just preaching
if you find a teacher, you found a goldmine
