Pawn shops sell stuff at market value, and buy stuff cheap from broke individuals. Why do you seem so surprised by this. First time in a pawn shop?

I don’t think any retail store is going to pay you market price. The guy next to albasha in citi place. I think gold and silver of Louisiana is a good dude. He was always fair to me, paid more than websites apmex etc

What did you expect from a pawn shop? You gotta compete with crackheads who sell shite for 1/10 of the price. You’ll never get market value from a pawn shop.

You should use the silver to start your own pawn shop and then pay everyone market value for their belongings... that'd show him.

You should have said,
“I’ll let it go for $375 if that will help you out, my man”
Sincerely,
Big Hoss

Pawn shops are good if you need the money quickly, not for getting the best price for your goods. And why would he buy it from you for the same price he'd have to sell it for? You're the one that wants/needs the money.

Who buys silver at market value in BR?
There used to be a coin shop that would buy precious metals and pay market value on Coursey. Not sure if it's around anymore. La Coin and Jewelry or something?

Yes, my first time in a pawn shop (to sell). Silver is a commodity, has a market value. The silverware is worth 2-3x the market value.

At a pawn shop that might be the market price. Surely you didn't think that would be the top dollar place for silver?

You should make bullets out of it. Tonight is the super full moon.
I don't think werewolves are real, but one can never be too sure.

They have been the biggest scumbags to me.

I called him a fricking liar and crook, walked out.

Who buys silver at market value in BR?

Just a guess but not someone acting as a middleman looking to turn a quick profit.

That comparison is an insult to scumbags

You need to keep that silver to protect you from coronavirus, baw

Nobody is going to pay market value. 65-85% of spot is the range, and good luck finding someone to pay 85%.
If you want spot or a bit above go the ebay route.

quote:Yes but YOU don't determine what pawn shop "market" price is.
Silver is a commodity, has a market value.
quote:So why didn't you see what his silverware price was?
The silverware is worth 2-3x the market value.
Clearly, you were trying to deal with someone that has a business to run.
If you don't like his offer just walk away.
You don't have to be a dick, especially in a business in which you have no experience.
