Same with my son. Just finished up 7th grade and there has never been a fight since he’s been at that school

There were a ton of fights at Neville high school in the mid to late 90s. I was stomping every hood rat that popped his gums to me.

Almost every day at the school I teach at.

BRHS 92-96. The closest thing I saw to a fight was a girl throwing a sammich at her boyfriend.
First day of school in fall of 1996, two fights. I'll let you research what happened over the summer of 1996 to BRHS

They were infrequent at my public school 15 years ago, but you'd seem them every few months.
The worst I ever saw was actually in middle school - a catfight between two girls. It was vicious; the bigger one slammed the smaller one's head against a pencil machine.

Just make sure it’s an actual private school and not a parochial school.
There are a lot of Catholic schools in Louisiana that aren’t parochial schools.

I do know this. Kids -- especially the middle to upper class -- cannot throw hands like we could as gen X'ers growing up in the 90s.

It doesn't really matter if it's a black school, a white school, a rich school, a poor school, a religious school, a private school or a public school. It's really a matter of the era.
The correct answer is, kids just aren't allowed to fight at any school these days. They're expelled or have criminal charges pressed against them.
I grew up in New Orleans in the 80s and 90s. I went to a slightly mixed public school in a middle class white neighborhood in Orleans Parish, I went to a plain jane white middle class private school in Metairie, I went to a dumbass jock private school in River Ridge and I went to a public Magnet School in uptown New Orleans that was 80% black.
In every single one of those schools there were fights all the time. Demographics be damned.

The crown jewel of my HS's fights was a ~15 vs ~15 black girl brawl during morning break. It was brutal. Weave everywhere. Titties too. We had fights daily: 1 vs. 1, same or opposite sex and/or race, lotsa "gang" ones. You name it, we had it.
Most thorough & deserving 1 vs. 1 azz whoopin was a gay black dude unleashing his fury on a bully. The azz whoopee never lived down that skull dragging, and nothing halts bullying like catching some raging hands.
PSA: fight gays, trans, etc., at your own risk, boys; because if you lose, you're manliness is compromised at best, and fricked at the worst. (Not that the rest of us are gonna show ya how it's done.)

My nephew goes to an all boys private school. He says instead of fist fighting when settling disputes they butt frick each other instead.
