For those of you still on the fence, try this simple test. Lock your dog and significant other in the trunk of your car for an hour and guess which one is happy to see you when you open it up.

Especially when you consider the definition of a friend today. Look on Facebook at all the people some people call "friends". People that they rarely talk to but just want to know their business. The term friend today is grossly exaggerated. Most people have 2 to 3 TRUE human friends. Just the facts. No wonder most here prefer dogs.

Sure, they're more loyal, as people make mistakes serving self-interests. But it's easy to meet the needs of a dog.

If you cherish dog interaction over human, you probably have emotional issues.

I love dogs, but they are pets. Pets are not friends. And they certainly aren't children.

Unless they are pitbulls, they will never frick you over. Can't say that about most human "friends".

I used to have a female friend who’d occasionally blow me. So no, a dog is not as good.

No dog is capable of the pure evil that lives within some humans.

So yes, dogs are better than much of the human race.

Absolutely better. I would take a dog over a human friend any day. I’ve had my share of hippocrite friends and don’t have time for them any more.

Yes. People have agendas and motives. Generally, a dogs only motive is food, affection and companionship.
