I bought a 24 pack of Rayovac batteries just because they were a little bit cheaper, I figured batteries were something that were all the same, but name brands are just more expensive.. But it seems like I have to change the batteries in the things I use batteries for more than usual..

I know.. I know.. Shitty thread, why do I start these kinds of threads? I suck. I am a piece of shite.

But I am actually asking a serious question.

I buy the rechargeable ones about once a year. So i dont have to worry about the ignorant price or performance of the throw away ones.

The cost of batteries is in the pile of "If I give a shite how much they cost, I fricked up in life."

Second best advice I received from the OT.

First was using a safety razor.

Not sure why I didn't think of doing this myself.

IMO expensive batteries are not cost effective for disposables like alkaline AA's but high quality batteries are worth it for rechargeable lithium ion batteries.

In my experience, Energizer and Duracell last significantly longer.

Duracell Procell. It is used in Medical portable IV machines.

My wife always used to buy these damn sunbeam batteries and light bulbs from the dollar store and I'd find myself changing them like once per month.

I finally convinced her to stop buying that shite so I know they aren't all equal.

I order the AmazonBasics batteries. Just keep a shitpile of them around.

For tech/high usage, I try to order devices with a built in rechargeable battery. Especially my mouse.

worst batteries that i have used, especially AA, are the amazon batteries. Those things are garbage.

But a mouse pad is just a pad for your mouse to sit on. What on earth would it need Bluetooth for?

Are you talking about a mouse?

I get the AA & AAA free batteries at Harbor Freight often. I wouldn't buy them if they charged a penny

Sorry you're poor.

But to answer your question - no they aren't the same. Plenty of 3rd party testing proves this. The question becomes is the extra life worth the price. Some of those premium Duracell "quantums" are at least twice the price of Rayovac.

And it depends on what load you are putting them under. They may perform differently running a flashlight compared to something requiring more current.

Members Mark batteries are the best deal off the shelf. They are Duracell in a private label.
