All religions have their potential dangers. It is not just one or two. Several have their flaws and cultish behaviors.
For one, the mega churches who turn worship in to a business enterprise masquerading as a church, that need lots of MONEY, for state of the art lighting, audio and video production systems, state of the art facilities, satellite time to spread the word seeking more donations, pastors with Armani Suits, pastors that need jets to fly them anywhere in the world, and pastors that get to live in a mega mansion tax free because it is a patronage.
Then you have the other Christian dominations, that make you scratch your head in what they do like Pentecostals, Methodists, Lutherans, Mormons, etc.
Not all churches are bad, just the ones that need heavy financing.

I’m a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, and not really happy with the current situation with the church but, my family and myself have never felt threatened by the Catholic Church at any time.

I know hundreds of Catholics and they all want these pedophiles outed and prosecuted. Nothing "engrained" there. Every singe one of them thinks these people are evil.
As an atheist, I always get a chuckle out of these threads where Democrat voters, who openly support child grooming, come in to these threads to declare their hatred for Christians and then their support for Islam or other religions.
Don't pretend you own some moral high ground.
