Most of the larger cities in the country are certainly blue. I can't think of one that isn't off the top of my head.

I know McKesson (#6 on the Fortune 500) is moving from SF to Dallas and the report stated that it would save them $400-500 million per year in taxes.

Great. Just what Texas needs, more liberals. Austin will be San Francisco South soon enough.

Why tf they call it a “campus?”

Because calling it a "compound" in Texas has a negative connotation.

I'd blame the Trumpies alienating the Hispanic voters more than Cali liberal attitude.

The Republic of Texas is being invaded from the south by illegal immigrants, and from the West by liberals.

Austin to get 10-15K (by the time you add in other businesses that will move there to be close to Apple) female screamers and male man-buns... plus more traffic.

Bigger is not always better.

You got to hand it to the libs. They know what they are doing.

The only people who hold this belief are the ones who worship at the altar of identity politics. Aka the only true racists in our society.
Sorry that the Hispanic community in Texas, much like the nationwide black community, refuses to do anything but allow themselves to be herded around by the liberal blue check mafia.
Any investigation or personal research at all would allow them to actually vote on policy. Instead, they just vote straight Democrat because that’s what they’re told to do.

Me too. I worked for a tech company for a decade and we basically had no dress code other than no shorts or flip flops. It was awesome.

The current political dichotomy will die when Trump leaves office.

Talk about a foolish statement. Trump was the byproduct of broken dichotomy, not the catalyst. His very existence has exacerbated it, but it's not all on him. The country is fundamentally broken ideologically.

The cyclical nature of politics in this country is largely due to a pretty homogenous populace. As the country become majority minority and truly diverse, the voting bloc rapidly increases for one party alone. If you think there's a future for the Republican party in the US moving forward with these demographic trends, then I have a great deal on real estate for you.

The lack of logic that has infected the far right is quite amazing. "Keep your billion dollars and ten thousand jobs out of Texas. We don't want to turn blue!"

People keep ignoring the fact that the most liberal parts of Texas are where the most growth is happening.

Where in the history of political parties in civilized nations has one party EVER held such a monopoly for very long? It simply doesn’t happen. You’re making the same statements that Republicans made in 1980, 1984, 1988, 2010 and 2016. The same thing the Democrats said in the 40’s, after Nixon in the 70’s, 1992, 1996, 2008, and 2014.

Historically you are just wrong. Current trends vis a vis politically ideology will not extend forever. The mass hysteria of young liberal minorities will simply not last until eternity. It goes away a) as they age and graduate from college and b) when the catalyst for their entire movement is gone (Trump). The pendulum swings.

Nor will demographics continue to change at the same pace. Every single historical immigrant group to this country fluctuates wildly over time.

I don’t care if it’s the Republican Party or some other party. Truly could not care less.

But if you actually believe there will EVER be a one party system in this country, well, you’re just ignorant. There has always been, and will always be a viable opposition party.

The biggest mistake one could ever make in politics is assuming that “current trends” extend beyond the current election cycle.
