Take LSU out of BR and it's basically Jackson or Montgomery, but worse.
meh, you still have ExxonMobil and Dow in BR. bit of an exaggeration.

This is all you need to know about him.
New Afrika
It looks like he's doing his best to make Jackson the New Afrika. Murders, rapes, crimes, corruption, they even have a water issue now to go along with it. MLK has got to be proud.
His father was behind this movement. The current mayor is his son, often referred to as "Baby Chuck."

Is this the same mayor that was photographed at Rimtyme his first day in office?
Edit: yes it is.

LSU would be a huge loss if
It left.
It left.

Yes the water system is failing because of someone who's been the mayor for a few year, sounds about republican. No mention of how a republican ran state has a failed water system in it's capital system that's been neglected for the last 75 years. All blaming, no accountability.
You absolutely know nothing of which you speak; and your grammar is pathetic.
The water problem in Jackson lies 100% at the feet of the incumbent mayor and his predecessors.
The issue is quite simple really; there isn’t enough money to fix the problems with the aging plant and piping. There hasn’t been enough money to fix it for at least 30 years.
Why isn’t there enough money in Jackson to provide clean water to its citizens??? That too is quite simple. The May-uh wastes taxpayer money on pet projects and graft. For example, hundreds of thousands of dollars were spent in litigation fees in his recent crusade to replace perfectly well-run garbage collection with an outfit that is about to be run out of NOLA.
One of the May-uh’s first pet projects was to replace all the water meters with some magical equipment that would solve all the water billing issues. Yeah, right.
The city can’t even properly bill or collect fees from water/sewer customers. We are billed infrequently, incorrectly, and erratically. It’s just bizarre.
Say what you will about Jackson, I do like living here. I have my little bubble and it’s been fine, till now. If the state doesn’t step in and right the ship, I might be heading out.
Oh and before the “it’s not state taxpayers responsibility to support of Jackson” comments start rolling in, there’s plenty of money in Jackson to support Jackson IF it’s handled correctly.

But shithole that it is, one thing BR has ALWAYS been able to hold its head up high about is drinking water. I have yet to visit a place with better drinking water than BR
No lie. At all. Baton Rouge tap water is absolutely delicious. If you’ve only had tap water from BR you don’t know how spoiled you are.
I mean, obviously New Orleans water is horrible, but I’ve been some places…I was in bay city Texas on a job and the water there…man, even when I was dehydrated and in serious need of water, it was still horrible to choke down. It tasted grey. It made you feel dirtier after you showered with it.
Coming back to BR water after that is a dream.

It’s pronounced “May-uh”.

I have. Lots of places. The only ones comparable are places fed from mountain springs

I went there for a work trip about a month ago and it was a shithole city.
Posted on 8/30/22 at 10:13 am to Roy Curado
Even if they fix the problematic water plant. Most pipes in the city need to be replaced. It’s a huge mess.

The aquifer that feeds Memphis and all of western TN is widely considered the best in the US and top in the world.
