I had a friend that was close to buying someone's setup. I believe it was 160K-175K a year. Guy had receipts for 20 years to prove it. Friend took a different job, but it was eye opening to see how much they make working a month out of the year basically.

The Anderson Family, originally from Florence, Alabama, founded and still runs TNT Fireworks, the largest consumer fireworks distributor in the U.S., starting from a newsstand in 1920 with Clyde W. Anderson.

This family is loaded all because of fireworks. If it’s TNT it goes through this family. Google them.

I wanted to see what a $1,000 worth of fireworks looked like. I looked up the Godfather package. It's over 100 pounds of fireworks. Need a forklift just to pick it up.

He could have ordered that same package for $600 - $700 online.

Could have been buying it for his HOA or Church or civic group. I can't imagine someone popping off $1200 worth of fireworks in their own driveway by themselves.

Although, I do know there have been some 4th's where I was in $300, and two neighbors were also in for about the same. Just taking turns firing stuff off. So if you add it all up, I guess $1200 isn't that insane for a group of people all putting in.

I ran across the Godfather package and the price is $1145.

It was about 10 years ago we bought the Godfather and it was around $600. We did get it from a wholesaler guy. 3 of us went in on it and it had a shite ton of stuff. $1,200 is no bueno.

He keeps any unused fireworks in a big arse storage place he owns along with all the stands.

Nice, can't wait to see the show when that place catches fire.

Used to be 300% markup. I ran one when we were in college with some friends. The guy gave us $1500 plus 10% over $10,000 that we sold. This was back in 2001-2002, so not bad for a week’s work

My son has been doing fireworks for the last ten years and used to do very good for the two week commitment. Last year his take was down 25% and this morning, he was concerned that he would have enough to cover the mandatory rv rental for on site live in security.

Profit for each holiday is really just 1-2 days of sales prior to the holiday now.

Around the neighborhood we used to have fireworks popping off a week ahead of time. 730 tonight, we hear our first firework.

Me and my BIL looked into buying a container of fireworks to sell. 15 yrs ago you could buy a shipping container for $25K and would usually sell for $120K. It’s pretty insane the money you can make selling that shite. Location is the key.

If you ever lived in a state where fireworks were banned you’d always load up when you came across some in another state.
