One big problem with hardcore christians is they believe they know everything. They believe that their faith-based social and political views are somehow different and better than the faith-based social and political views of other religions. They are likely scared to death of sharia law but have no problem pushing for laws and sociopolitical constructs based on their own religious beliefs. They believe that their morality is perfect and absolute, and everyone who disagrees does not simply have a different view but is objectively wrong.

I don't think this at all. Basically all successful cultures are elaborate games of behave-yourself-and-hide-the-pussy. You can write down their deities' names on slips of paper and pick one out of a top hat, for the most part, and still wind up in the same place. I am far more afraid of Ellen Page-ism than I am of Sharia Law, and in their honest moments I think most social conservatives would agree with me. Ellen Page's deity (Man... science... Satan... is there any difference anymore?) does not belong in that top hat at all.

The Bible is very black and white about Homosexuality. Some people try to twist very plain words to mean what they want to justify their sins.
You mean those "very plain words" which are a version of a translation of a transcription? You will have to forgive your fellow christians for finding room for interpretation there.

We are truly a lost country when all a girl has to do to become a man is wear men’s clothes and say she’s one.

A girl cannot become a boy.

She can pretend, she can live her life as a guy and she can change her name to Ralph, but she will NEVER EVER change her DNA which is what makes her a girl.

Science.

I don't know anyone's heart but from what I've read, I believe Revelator is.

I am saved by the grace of God, as well.

Would you like to point to the ancient manuscripts we have that allow for the translation and/or version that you accept as supporting homosexuality as normative and/or morally acceptable?

Actually they are translated from very specific Greek or Hebrew words that have very specific meanings. And when the Dead Sea scrolls were found in the 40’s, except for small grammatical differences, every parchment that was found when compared to our modern bibles was word for word.
So the translation excuse thats used over and over as an out won’t fly.

Hm, no, I would never point to any ancient manuscript as a guide for anything.

Not anymore really. But it can be used in a derogatory way I guess, just the context.

Well, my preferred "out" is that some texts written by men a long time ago is a poor basis for modern government. But of course that definitely won't fly with you because you have chosen to take these specific old texts as fact as opposed to the other choices of ancient texts.

This goes back to my original point that there is no arguing with blind faith.

Well, that’s not what you said in your previous post and are now simply moving the goalposts. Just say what you mean and we won’t need the song and dance.
