Every day, I see more and more signs of homelessness in the Perkins/College area. Today, I saw one lady camped out beneath the old Kean's Cleaners on Perkins today with shite sprawled all around her. Sunday, I was confronted by two guys at the Albertson's that I have never seen before. I believe that many of these people are living on Dawson's creek behind the businesses.

Has anyone ever walked back there along the creek or can anyone shed some light on just how pervasive the homeless population is in this area?

We all know the panhandlers and "Miami" in his wheelchair near the Regions bank, but how many others are in this area that we never even see? where do they live?

I had to pull a blade on a junkie today after he got angry and wanted to fight me because I didn’t believe his bullshite story and told him to get away. Then told him to frick off after he didn’t go.

I’d tried to work with a couple but they struggled with Excel.

I was fighting with my gf over the calories in my double chocolate chip Frappuccino, so I offered it to him at the red light. He said he can't have it because he's an alcoholic and the sugar messes with his system.

Getting into a fight with the mentally disabled will only turn out bad for you

It's funny to tie a piece of fishing line to a $5.00 bill and throw it out of the window.

When one reaches for it you jerk it back and drive off laughing

Let me guess, they ran out of gas and needed a few dollars to put in their car so they could get home.

Perkins Rowe is getting pretty bad. The last 2 times I’ve been there I was encountered by homeless people on both occasions.

Baton Rouge is getting over run by bums. It's time to round them all up and ship them to San Francisco where they belong

Last time I went to Whataburger I was yelled at by some bum because I wouldn't give him money and then I wouldn't give him a ride somewhere

I'm curious as to where all of these people stay? there's got to be at least 30-40 of them working the area. I would wager that a walk along Dawson Creek would reveal a whole lot more than we can see from the street.

95% of these degenerates are not homeless. They do this as a way to earn tax free money, collect a check from the government, etc. I don't trust but about 2-3 of the "homeless" in BR are homeless. Worthless, absolutely but not homeless.

Frick being a good Christian! If they are actually homeless, I have no issue with buying the person food, etc (still will not give them money) but people have caught some of these beggers getting into new vehicles after a "shift".

Yup

Had one walk into our office the other day and ask the receptionist for a few dollars for gas. I pulled up when he was walking out, he turned and came to my truck. “Hey man, I’m looking for jobs you have any cash? I said no, he looks in my truck at my change and said how bout some change. Put my kahr on the console and told him I don’t have any change.

They will change their story from person to person. Just looking for the next dumbass. It’s jnown that most of these people park their car in a lot and then head to their spot and they keep it moving.

There was an old man that was homeless in downtown BR. When I would see him, I would try to run to the Subway on the corner of 3rd and grab him a bite to eat. This man I knew was homeless because at least once a week I would see him walking around downtown at 10-11 am digging through trash cans outside of restaurants looking for food. The ones at college and corporate can starve where they are before I do anything for them.
