I have a small hole in my sidewall that I plugged about 7 years ago that still has a slow leak. Its gotten really aggravating and I'd rather not have to buy a new tire since the treads on this one are good. I've used slime for smaller tires on a pressure washer with limited success. Anyone try it on a car? Thoughts?

I’ve used similar products but only for temporary situations

How do you still have tread on a 7 year old tire? How have you driven with a hole in your sidewall for 7 years?

It's a temp solution, not a permanent one.

It's good in a pinch, but not long term. Just got get it plugged again. Or spring for a new tire.

Basic questions:
Where do you drive? Do you only drive in neighborhoods where a totally flat tire would be safe to stop and change?
Do you never drive on the interstates?
Do you never hit potholes at high rates of speed?

How fast can you change a flat? in any neighborhood?

Are you well dressed, driving a still expensive car that is worth car jacking?

Don't ever use in a tire that has a pressure monitor, it will ruin the monitor. I learned that the hard way

If he's driving around on a 7 year old tire, probably not.

It probably will work, but the tire guys will hate you when you buy new tires and they take the old tire off, discovering that slime. I would recommend you be careful when driving regardless as it might deflate and fail at higher speeds.

Notice: I am not a tire specialist and only state the above as a comment and not any kind of recommendation.
