It is time to replace a 7 year old tire , hole or not
There is no other correct answer to OP's query than this one.

And honestly, it might sound like a douchey internet Karen answer, but seriously dude (OP)....if you're tire blows out because of trying to save a buck you could be endangering yourself and your passengers as well as others on the road. Go buy a new tire man.

If you have to get it patched or plugged in the future and take it somewhere most places make you buy a new tire if you’ve used any type of fix a flat or slime. Just fyi

You need to replace that tire before it ends up hurting someone else.

You are riding on tires that are about to blow out. Even if you still have a lot of thread left, when tires get around 8 years old they can blow out easily. You need new tires. They ain't pretty, they don't smell good, but you gotta have 'em.

It works fine on tubeless tires with a small annoying leak

How do you still have tread on a 7 year old tire? How have you driven with a hole in your sidewall for 7 years?

shite like that is trash garbage and most tires guys will never fix your tires again if you bring them a tire with that in it.

besides that, those fillers are made to fix leaks in the tread and will never be anywhere on the sidewall to do anything

I've hunted for years in west Texas and flats from thorns were always a problem for all wheeled vehicles we used. The solution was a set of "hunting tires and rims" we would put on before hunting season. I personally liked the Slime brand, although there are others that work just as well.

The only real issue I had was that the sealant would slightly throw off the balance of the tire if you had to get on the highway (Jeeps).
