The one I bought claims to have no THC in it. Drug tests generally only test for THC metabolites in the urine, and the CBD portion is not looked for. The THC is the part that affects your cognitive functions. Only CBD with 0.03% (not 3%) is legal to sell, so if you are buying locally, chances are you aren't ingesting enough to register on a test, if any at all.
The one I bought specifically states that it is 3rd party tested to contain 0% THC and I can attest to it not impairing my mental functions at all. I have smoked trash bags full of weed in my time and this is nothing like it. It just relaxed my body and my mood was better.
I did not have the urge to eat pie filling and listen to Tool albums on repeat while reading Nietzsche like when I smoked pot, so it is definitely different.

You can definitely pass a drug test taking legal CBD. The THC content is extremely low. Of course, you could also fail a drug test taking it as well, depending on the testing thresholds and the frequency with which you take it.
It's probably not worth the risk for someone who has a strict, zero tolerance policy, but it's incorrect to say you you can't pass a drug test if you take cbd products.

But I tried the Kirkland sleep aid (half a pill) and it knocks me out without fail. I am afraid I am getting dependent on it, but I only use half a pill (so 12.5 mg) during the week and none on the weekends. So hopefully, 37.5 MG a week isn't enough to mess me up.

With all of these shops that have popped up suddenly, how do you know there is actually any CBD in the oil?

It is sort of a leap of faith, but finding a place that has 3rd party testing for purity and safety documentation on hand from their suppliers is a good way to be fairly sure.
The ones I bought is bar coded, has a website, has 3rd party testing results available, ingredients listing, etc. The lowest dose available for the tincture was $30 per ounce. Not going to list it because I am not advertising for anyone, but you can ask questions at the store then google the shite wile standing there like I did. a $30 roll of the dice ain't bad to me. I didn't come up snake eyes, so I am letting people know that it actually does work for me. The same way some people just don't really get high from smoking pot, or get super paranoid and have panic attacks after eating a pot brownie, CBD has different effects on different people from what I read.
I am quite fricked up in the head due to bad genetics. I have clinical depression, ADD, generalized anxiety and insomnia. Xanax was great but I liked it too much. Being that I have several dead addicts in my family, I decided not sleeping and dealing with a bit of anxiety here and there was better than being a benzo addict, so I weened myself off of it. I take my antidepressant and my Adderall, which keep me from offing myself (depression) or getting fired (ADD), and it looks like the CBD oil will allow me to relax and sleep without taking a benzo or slamming 3-4 beers before bed. Even exercise didn't help me sleep. I'm willing to believe this is helping for now, even if it is just a placebo effect and I'm a gullible a-hole buying snake oil, which could totally be the case.
