I do find it very ironic that you can take Xanax every night and as long as a doctor says it is ok you can't be fired for it showing on a test, but if you smoke a little grass you can be fired without hesitation and be labeled a drug head for the rest of your life while Xanax is unquestionably the more dangerous substance out of the two.

was meant tongue in cheek, this oil does have my attention but I can't take it, wife had pretty extensive surgery a few weeks ago and pain meds aren't helping, someone from work gave her some of the oil and it's helping her with it

Try being an adult and let go of the meth errr Adderall and you’d sleep just fine with nothing. Hard to shut down when you take adderall a coupe times a day.

Try being an adult and researching what it does for people who actually have ADD and not your a-hole buddies that need it to keep drinking.

It depends on your body weight and the size of your bed, so there's no exact formula. However, the general rule of thumb is 10% of your body weight. I use a 15 lb blanket, which is a bit under 10% but it does the trick for me. It's a completely different feeling than a comforter. It puts a slight pressure across your entire body that helps you relax. If you're struggling with getting to sleep at night, it's worth throwing a bit of money at one of these blankets to see if it works.

its weed with the THC removed, thats the part that gets you high/buzzed. pretty much like non alcoholic beer, no buzz to it at all.

its basically a mild muscle relaxer and pain pill

If my wife ever tossed hers on me in the middle of the night I’d be crushed.

Depending on where you buy them, the flowers may be have been tested and their chemical profiles listed on the packaging.

The way it breaks often down, the potency listing will have percentages like: Sativa 10-30% THC, 0.01 - 0.1&% CBD, 0.01 - 0.1% CBN. Indica will similar but sigficantly more CBD (sometimes approaching a full percentage point).

Sativa's CBD dearth make it the daytime species and Indica's richness the nighttime smoke.

Another development has been selective breeding of high CBD strains. They'll have lower THC (mid teens) and very high CBD; e.g.: Hubba Bubba, Charlotte's Web. I smoke this stuff after dental work.

Pop two 10 milligram melatonin. Guarantee you will be out in 30 minutes. Unlike Xanax, melatonin is already in your brain, so it just puts you to sleep, but does not keep you asleep.

Go see a psychiatrist. It’s likely anxiety/depression related.

I wish i didn’t have a job that cared because my brother smokes a little weed before he goes to sleep and swears by it. He said he sleeps like a baby after taking a hit at night.

I would definitely try if i could

And they are finding that taking melatonin may frick up your natural levels resulting in some negative, long term effects.

Anecdotal update for the OP and anyone else who is interested:

Took a triple dose (30mg) last night an hour before bed, and after having 2 pints of Guinness. Slept like a champ compared to basically my entire adult life. 10pm-5am, only woke up twice. I'm still a little drowsy as of 7:30 am, but I think it's because my body is finding out what it is like to sleep and wants more, not any effects of the CBD.

4 days in, this shite is like a godsend for me. I don't have the urge to drink as much either because the hooch isn't a crutch to fall asleep anymore.

i'm 6'0 200 and I sleep on a queen mattress. i'll start with a 15lb blanket maybe. I guess i'll just get one from Walmart unless you have a specific brand that you suggest.

I've also heard that Sheex (the arctic? ones) are really good. any thoughts?
