It is a me problem. I wake up at 4-4:30 every morning, pay a ridiculous amount of taxes and have been cut hours. I'm not pulling in dough, comfortable, but I have been affected.
I"m happy ppl with families, good working ppl, are getting checks none the less.

Yes. With jet fuel down 70% from a year ago I could have flown somewhere for a nice lunch with that money.

It doesn’t bother me to not get it.
As soon as I understood that I didn’t qualify for it, I moved on to think about things I could change.
Possibly that’s partially why I got to a point where I didn’t qualify?

The cutoff line should not have been income. It should have been “did you pay at least $1200 in federal tax?”.

Yeah, a personal issue.
Seeing family members who stumble through life brag about receiving 3900 gets to me.
In 1-2 months time they will be sending texts to borrow legal tender.
Maybe I do need to find God.

I'm upset. You got OldWar here braggin about getting $5400 and I get nothing.
I have no kids and don't qualify. Guarantee I pay more taxes than OldWar since he qualifies and gets tax credits for his 6 kids. So why should we get stimulus checks?
Everyone should be getting the stimulus checks, even Bezos, do you have any idea how much these guys are paying in taxes? $1200 is a minor credit for them.
I make over 100K but am no fat cat millionaire. I live in a condo outside of Orlando and skateboard to work.
It's a stimulus check, not unemployment. They should've given the check to everyone with the stipulation it would only be used to purchase American Made goods. I know hard to police and consumers to really know but honor system and at least people could make an effort to buy American with the 1200.
I'm an essential and have been working through the lock down so at least finances are normal for me, but a stimulus check would've been sweet. Trump did us a dirty.

My wife and I are very salty about this. As are some of our friends. This is absolute BS, some but not all, will receive something. As if some Americans making more than their standard are given nothing.

Pretty much anything the federal government does pisses me off. Can't remember ever thinking, "Oh wow! Thank God for the good ol' US federal government!"
