We would go to the Pizza Hut on 19 in Baker 2-3 times a month for lunch buffet in the 90s and early 00s. Creamy Italian. Thin and crispy pepperoni ftw. Building no longer exists.

Didn’t Pizza Hut take away all the franchises in the BR area from the Franchisee and put up all these to go only shops?

Updated my post. As a kid, that was the only pizza I knew.

Remember when you walked in and could actually smell the green bell peppers and onions in the air???

Now it is all flash frozen vacuum sealed vegetables that lose all taste and aroma.

The meat toppings the same.

So is this a Pizza Hut building that went broke, became a Mexican restaurant that failed, then another Mexican restaurant that failed, a payday loan place, then a liquor store, back to Pizza Hut?

If so, I’m in!

Sure do. Such a great smell. Did your parents usually invite another couple like mine? Would get 2 booths, one for them and cram about 6 kids in another lol. We would drain a shaker of parmesan cheese with the quickness like little orphans.

We were to poor to eat out much more than once or twice a year.

The rare times we went to eat pizza at the Hut were very memorable for sure and I am old enough that I could treat myself every once in a while at one back in the 80's.

I used to work for Pizza Hut corporate back in the 90s. Everything was made fresh - dough, sauce, fresh chopped veggies etc. The salad bar was rotated throughout the day to keep everything super fresh. I was surprised at how many people would come in just to eat salad. We also had sandwiches, spaghetti, and garlic cheese bread back then. Then in the late-90s they switched to frozen dough disks. The quality took a big nosedive imo. Lundy Enterprises (Larry Lundy) took control of the South Louisiana locations and things went completely to shite. Lundy ended up getting arrested for fraud or some shite and meanwhile corporate decided to do away with red roofs and switch to the current carry-out/delivery places that were more efficient and less costly to operate. Just another example of a big business that sacrificed quality for the almighty dollar.

I like Pizza Hut’s thin crust. I need to try the tavern style.
