Our 10 year old Tempur-Pedic has lost it's touch and was doing research on the "bed in a box". There are a few dozen of these, Purple, Casper, Bear, Puffy..It is overwhelming.

I don't mind purchasing a mattress from a store but if I can find something decent around 1k vs 3 or 4k, I'll take it.

I got the zinus memory foam mattress off of amazon. Like $350 with the smartbase mattress foundation frame. Came in 2 days. Allowed 24 hours for it to fully expand. Great for the price.

I would never go cheap on a mattress. You spend between a quarter and a third of your life on your mattress. Get something comfortable and good for your body man

Just bought a tuft and needle as well.

$700 for a king size was a good deal after comparing a few others.

Only had it a few days but no complaints yet.

I purchased the Purple. Just don't buy the frame from them. It just doesn't appear to be very sturdy.

Have Leesa. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

Tuft & Needle on my old tempurpedic adjustable base. Love it.
I was along the same lines of thinking as the OP & did reasearch & took the bed in a box dive & saved thousands. Tuft and Needle is very comfy. Make sure you order it from tuftandneedle.com if you get one & not amazon. From the website if you don’t like it they will have you donate it to a charity house if you don’t like it & you still get a full refund. With amazon you have to ship back. F that.

Purple

I'd stay away from this one until they figure out how to make it without the white "powder". Probably not toxic, as they claim, but why risk it?

I agree. That's not to say some of these brands aren't good. But buy something that you and your wife love and your whole life improves

Brooklyn bedding here. Hi UST got it. Sleeps cooooool.

The pillows and sheets they sent with it were awesome as well.

Its also has enough spring to still be good for sex.

Its pretty amazing just how fricking good it feel to sleep on. I look forward to laying down pretty much every night.

Same here but we got the king size. Love it. Doesn't make a sound and you don't notice if your spouse gets in or out of bed.

If you like foam mattresses it’s the way to buy, don’t like not being able to try ahead of time in a store but if you have a chance to use one for a night somewhere or just need one for a guest bedroom it’s a great option.
