Yeah NOVA schools are very diverse and some of the best public schools in the country. You get a great education up there.

Va Square had that legit deli right by the metro. Another good area to consider with it being walking distance to Clarendon and Ballston. Ballston is the legit spot to be now a days. The complete overhaul of the mall and the surrounding buildings is wild.

Wish I had the chance to live in Glover Park when I was younger at the height of the Mason Inn and Town Hall days. It was SEC central and an extension of the Bogies life.

Have a buddy who lives in Alexandria, Va.

Seems like a lot of the professionals from DC live in the area.

If you're going to do Alexandria, do it right and live in Old Town or Del Ray. Del Ray is probably the best hidden gem in the area though. My ex gf lived there and it was awesome. A lot of my friends that were engaged/married lived in Arlington and then all migrated to Aldie to start having kids.

So what you're saying is that school is 63% white. Not very diverse baw.

You can tell the people who have lived there and paid the property taxes. They’re hefty hefty hefty.

I worked with people that commuted a hour and a half one way every day.

I value my time more than that and if I couldn’t live in Arlington or even Alexandria centrally, I wouldn’t go back to it. Fairfax is nice but you’re still going to sit in traffic a hour every day for rush hour.

property taxes there are nothing compared to New England, NJ, etc...or even Texas.

Same. Just wish I had lived down the street for the pregame or late night parties. 2010-2012 was awesome.

See you’re talking about the rate but the property itself is all way way more expensive.

I would rather live in Pierre Part than DC. DC is 96% lib so that would be a pile of puke!

We've gone from DC to Arlington to Falls Church to Reston. I refuse to end up in Ashburn

I have friends that live in the Alexandria area and are all very successful, work on the Hill, kids in private schools, their starter home was around $650k in that area.
