No, because ghosts aren't real.

I live a house that’s about 115 years old. No ghosts. What’s my secret, you ask? Sage? Exorcism? Spiritual cleansing? Nope, ghost just don’t exist.
Similar for me too. Our place isn't quite as old. It was built in 1928, but no ghosts. Drafty windows, which will need to be replaced soon, and my wife wants to "redo" some areas. The potential bills that I'm facing are scarier than any ghost ever could be.

That's simple to explain - water pressure build up. Sometimes the water pressure can build up so much from outside sources that it forces your faucet open.
Why does everything have to be so simple to explain away. I like it better as a ghost story so I'm sticking to that.

A relative of mine moved into an old shotgun house in New Orleans with his wife. He described a lot of weird things like seeing a face in a mirror, noises, etc. but they lived with it. One day, he said there was a noise from the attic. It sounded like a person, not a squirrel or rat or raccoon, was running from one end of the attic to the other over and over. He was poised to open the attic door but had an overwhelming sense that something bad would happen if he did so he didn’t and the noise stopped shortly after. Katrina took out the house and now their new house is boring.

Yeah, prepare to grab your ankles if it’s in a historic district or on the Register. We’ve redone the kitchen, foyer, upstairs bath and replaced the windows, with plans for a couple more renovations. The only thing that scares me about this house is my shrinking savings account.
The upside is that it’s in desirable neighborhood and, so long as the housing market doesn’t collapse in the next 2-3 years before we plan to move, then we’ll make all that money back and more.

Two stories, only one is explainable.
My parents old house. I was a teenager, sitting in my room watching TV. I heard my dad in the attic, distinct footsteps, walking back and forth. I didn't think anything of it. The next commercial break, I go downstairs to the kitchen to get something to drink, ask Mom what Dad is doing in the attic. She says Dad is in the garage working on the car. I look out the door and sure enough, there he is under the car. Nobody was in the attic.
In that same house, my Dad swears there is a ghost cat. He's the only one who has ever seen it.
The house isn't historic, but the land is riddled with civil war artifacts, near Kennesaw Mountain.
Story #2-
Older house near Athens, working from home in 2014. I'm on my computer in the spare bedroom "office". I'm home alone. Late morning, sunny day. In the closet about 8 feet away from me, I hear a distinct loud fart. I assumed someone had broken into my house, I made a bee line to the bedroom, got my shotgun, loaded it, but left my cell phone in the room with the fart, and no land line. My heart is beating a million miles an hour and I'm full of adrenaline or endorphine or whatever makes you feel high in that situation, I try to slow my breathing and think my way out of this. I had gone out in the morning for breakfast, I assumed someone broke in, then I surprised them when I came home "early" and they must be hiding in the closet. Somehow, after a few minutes, I worked up the nerve to walk back in, gun cocked, I said some shite, I don't remember, like come out, show yourself, i have a gun, something to that effect. Silence. I worked my way to the closet door, psyched myself up, and finally opened the door, fully expecting to see a cowering human.
Nothing was there.
I told this story to my good friend who told me it was probably a snake fart. He said he used to have a snake that would make loud audible human farts. So probably just a snake in the wall.
But I like to think it was a ghost fart.

There is no such thing as ghosts. Demons however do exist so if you are being haunted you probably need a priest. Just sayin....

I lived in a very old house in Minden, I had very simular things to yours happen often.. Things flying off shelves, doors slamming shut when there was no one there but me, kids lauphing when there were no kids there. And plenty of shadows.
Maybe not ghosts but dam sure somthing. Got used to it and really never bothered me. My wife and I just started saying, (well our friends are home tonite)
