No need to apologize to me, man. I enjoy a good joke and don't get offended easily at all. Besides, you're a good dude.

My wife thinks ours is haunted. I know the previous owner's wife died of cancer. Not sure if it was in the house or not. I honestly don't care. I don't believe in all that stuff.

Because you haven't experienced any of "that stuff". I compare it to the love a parent has for their children -- you just can't explain how much you love a child until you yourself have one. That kind of love is meant to be felt, not described. Well here I would say you just simply don't believe it at all until you do. It's as simple as that.

I live a house that’s about 115 years old. No ghosts. What’s my secret, you ask? Sage? Exorcism? Spiritual cleansing? Nope, ghost just don’t exist.

Same here...108 year old house. Large old oak trees everywhere. No ghosts here. I’d love to be proved wrong though!

Who's the poster who had a demon living in his living room chair? One night there were screams coming from his recliner so he hacked it up with a knife.

Not a full believer of ghosts but I've had a couple of things happen in my house that I cant explain. All of these things happened after the passing of my MIL, whom I've had a great relationship with

1. Watching a movie with the wife in the living room then all of a sudden a dining room chair moves and turns around. I pause the movie to investigate and so many things are running through my head. I shrug it off as maybe it wasn't slid under the table correctly. I couldn't explain it.

2. My creepy arse 4 year old telling me that he's talking to my dead MIL. Calls her by her first name and everything. Says she misses us and all. Could just be my kids imagination.

3. We've replaced a lot of light bulbs. New lights just can't seem to last long in our house. Could be an electrical issue.

That was the guy that did battle with evil spirits with flaming swords or something crazy shite.

Also...pine cones.

I don't believe in that shite. Its comparable to a deer hunter wanting to see a deer so badly, that he shoots somebody crossing a fence... thinking it was a deer.
The human mind is a powerful thing. Usually it's the females that make these claims...

Nah...you have to be less prone to confirmation bias than this. If not, literally anything can be said to be true because someone will have "experienced" it.

Case in point, I'd assume that you don't believe EVERY crazy claim made by anyone, right? And yet, if they think they've experienced it, their response to you would be word for word what you just said to the poster above. Or, would you just concede that the thing they are claiming is true if they claim to have experienced it first hand...with no other evidence? Ghosts? Big Foot? Alien abduction? You name it?

I'm honestly curious...

3 pages into a ghost thread full of non-believers, and no one has mentioned the most definitive proof of ghosts that we have
