My first cousin was sent to Chamberlain Hunt lol. He wasn’t and still isn’t know for his sharp intellect or good judgement.

Are the stories about bad rich kids or gay fantasies?
I can actually see some overlap there.

Knew a rich kid who got caught with coke in 9th grade. He was sent there. That’s all I got.

I suspect that part was common ground to almost everyone who went to school in the rural south.
FTR, don't know anyone who attended that school.

Mine too, public school just outside of Houston, Senior year 1997. Got 3 licks for 3 day for chewing gum in class. Same year same punishment for not shaving and another 3 for 3 for cutting a class. Principal played briefly for the Dolphins and could swing a paddle like Paul Bunyan swung an axe.

No I wasn’t a problem child. Besides, I had a loving nuclear family (until death do you part). I was well disciplined by my parents. Also they loved me too much to give up my childhood with them.

Played CHA in football 1976. A good friend of mine was sent there and subsequently graduated. He retired from Chevron a few years ago.

Morgan Academy here.. It was Marion Military Institute for us. 4 of my best friends transferred there, because they couldn't handle the academics at Morgan. When I said I wanted to go too, my Mama immediately crawfished!

they were still doing this in NOLA Catholic HS in the late 80's early 90's.
Pussies. I was getting paddled in public school on the Northshore in late 90’s

We put my son in Lyman ward. He actually got kicked out and it was non refundable and he soon ended up ap at LTI in pineville. We looked at Marion as well.

The observation that went around then amongst High School boys in NOLA or BR back then was “If you’re smart and you get kicked out of your local High School, you go to St Paul’s. If you’re dumb and get kicked out, you go to Stanislaus.”
This is the realest shite i ever read on this website. thank you.

Would believe it's still open? Search Chamberlain Hunt American Academy. Probably a lot different today?

What time frame was this? In the early 80's, at least, you would still get a soap bar in a sock tune up at Marion.

Any old school Marion baws want to tell the class about the "Mad Shitter" back in the late seventies?
One of my buddies got that visit after leaving their room unlocked when they went to chow.

There were two High Schools in the NOLA area in the 1970s & 1980s that boarded male students: St Stanislaus in Bay St Louis & St Paul’s in Covington, LA.
I know before that Holy Cross boarded kids?
There was a girls school around Lafayette that closed their boarding part like last year?

wow. I went Marion in the mid 90’s. Played on the golf team with Col. Murphee. The school had its own 9 hole course. Also remember the VC Voltron Crew.
